About Flint


Our Story

'Flint' has been developed out of a real world situation by experienced hospitality business owners. In 2016 we opened up Annie and the Flint - a speciality coffee shop in the beautiful seaside town of Ilfracombe, North Devon. With my background in IT and developing and hosting applications for clients around the world it became apparent that there had to be a better way to keep all our EHO data up to scratch then the accepted paper based way of doing it.

I set about developing a system for internal use that would allow my staff to focus on the job of providing excellent hospitality services to our community rather then focus on the daily grind of paperwork and the constant stress of keeping it all together and figuring it out if it was all filled in correctly.

Once we had the basics of a system we realised that our problem of keeping on track of the paperwork wasn't an 'us' issue but was a pinch point for the industry as a whole and so we set about designing Flint so that it could be used in any hospitality business regardless of size or focus.

Since then we have been continually developing it, adding new features and continue to do so. Our team of onboarding and support staff take great pride in helping each business get setup and configured and are on hand to help with any issues.
